What is Pakistan's number in the most powerful passports of 2023?


Japan's leadership in the ranking of passports has been maintained, in the global ranking for 2023, Japan's passport  has been declared the most powerful.


Last year also, the passports of Japan and Singapore were declared as the most powerful passports of the year in the global ranking.


Japan has once again topped the list of the world's most powerful passports for 2023, with its citizens able to travel to 192 countries  visa-free or obtain a visa on arrival at the airport.


A total of 109 passports have been ranked, with Singapore and South Korea second in the list after Japan. Citizens of these countries can get 

visa-free entry to 192 countries.


Germany and Spain are joint third in the list of visa-free or visa-on-arrival passports whose citizens can enjoy visa-free entry to 190 countries. Italy, Finland and Luxembourg are joint fourth with 189 countries having this facility available to their citizens.


With this facility for 188 countries, the passports of Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden and Austria stood at the fifth place, while the holders of  passports of Portugal, Ireland, France and England can get visa-free or visa-on-arrival facility in 187 countries.


Passports with facility for 186 countries are held by citizens of Belgium, Czech Republic, Switzerland, USA, Norway and New Zealand while passports of Australia, Greece, Malta, and Canada are 8 in the list with this facility for 185 countries. Ranked 10th.۔


Passports of Poland and Hungary are in 9th place with 183 countries, passports of Lithuania and Slovakia are in 10th place.


On the contrary, among the countries whose citizens have the least number of free visas or visas at the airport, the first place is Afghanistan and the second place is Iraq, which only have this facility in 27 and 29 countries respectively. While Syrian passport holders can avail this facility only in 30 countries.


The Pakistani passport remains the fourth weakest passport with visa-free or visa-on-arrival limited to 32 countries, while passports from Yemen and Somalia ranked fifth and sixth worst respectively.


The most powerful passport in this index is from a Muslim country which is United Arab Emirates followed by Sweden, Finland, Italy, Germany,

Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, France, Spain, Switzerland, South Korea and New Zealand passports. Has been declared the most powerful.


In this list, Pakistani passport has been included in the list of the weakest passport, which has been declared as visa-free or on-arrival facility available only for 36 countries.
