Brazil: Heavy rains, 36 dead, dozens of houses washed away
Sao Paulo: Flooding caused by heavy rains in Brazil left 36 people dead and many displaced.
Floods and landslides occurred due to heavy rains in Sao Paulo province of Brazil, in which 36 people were killed.
The provincial administration has said in its statement that as a result of this disaster, many women and men including a seven-year-old child are involved. More than 50 houses were also washed away by the rains.
Landslides were also caused by landslides in various places due to the rains, while events in São Sebastião, Oba Toba, Ilha Bella and Bertioga da Carnival have been cancelled.
Due to the flood situation, the motorway has also been submerged while the rescue teams are busy evacuating the people trapped in the flood and rehabilitating the roads. Local authorities reports that 600 mm of rain was recorded in Sao Paulo on Sunday, which is more than expected this month.
According to the local official, search and rescue teams are unable to access most of the places due to severe flood situation.

It has been reported that many people are missing in San Sebastião, more than fifty houses have collapsed and even the rescue team is having difficulty in accessing some areas.
